Barry J O'Connell (Bachelor of Commerce Honours), heads up administration and is a director of Cherubim Ventures (Pty) Ltd, and Baobab. Barry worked for Marsh Captive Insurance in Dublin and has held various positions in investment banks in the United Kingdom and Australia. Most recently he was the Managing Director of the Penrich Group of Companies, in Botswana for 4 years, until he founded BOC Insurance Brokers in 2009. Barry is a citizen of Botswana.

Martin P Van Blerk, (Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Law) is the fund manager, director and co-founder of Cherubim and Baobab. Martin managed Baobab and its predecessor since 1997. Martin also formerly provided investment services for the $20 billion portfolio of Fairfax Financial Holdings' assets at Hamblin Watsa Investment Council Ltd for the four years ending 31 Dec 2009.
